The profit from the hiring of this facility goes to Tasmanian Eye Institute a not-for-profit organisation. Tasmanian Eye Institute’s objective is to ensure ongoing ophthalmic health and well being of Tasmanians through Training, Education and Innovation. Tasmanian Eye Institute owns the Thistle Street Medical Centre building including the Thistle Street Medical Centre Function Room. The goal is to create a sustainable income stream for Tasmanian Eye Institute from the rental received from the tenants of the building and through the profit of hiring the function room.
